An eco-friendly glampsite high in the hills of the Lake District
amid the trees of a upland working farm
Sometimes when you can’t see the wood for the trees you need to take a step back from your normal life and rediscover your wild side, however, it doesn’t harm to throw a bit of comfort in!
Scales plantation is 30 acres naturally regenerated woodland tucked away on a working upland farm situated at 1000ft, on the edge of the Lake District National Park. A world heritage site.
We have carefully created private camps in clearings amongst the trees to offer you an outdoor experience at the same time as benefiting from the warmth and comfort of wood burning stoves, hot running water, solar lighting, feather bedding and Egyptian cotton sheets.
Each camp has it’s own kitchen / bathroom shelter with hot running water, fire pit area, composting loo for for your private use. This means you don’t have to share facilities with any other campers in the wood.
